About Ebony
I am a paramedic graduate. At high school I completed up to Extension 2 in mathematics. During my degree I tutored a family with two children. The youngest one had difficulty with maths but by the end of the year they had gained some confidence. The eldest child found concepts confusing in class, yet made sense after I had been able to one on one walk them through the processes. Her marks increased throughout the year.

I get the student to show me their textbook and what lessons they are meant to have done in class. I go through it in more detail, answering questions and showing how to understand the lesson. Then they work through exercises to see that they can do it for themselves. For others who really struggle, I make sure they know the basics. It will depend on the individual; how they might learn best will determine how I teach them.
