About Ben
I am a first-year student studying computer science and mathematics at the University of York. Having done both of these subjects at GCSE and A-level I understand where students go wrong and how to fix the mistakes that are normally made. Having rigorously studied the content for my exams recently, my knowledge on the courses, exam structure and available resources is fresh and well put together. I was able to start tutoring my classmates to help them achieve their required grades for uni through my school, giving me experience in teaching A-level Mathematics and Computer Science. In A-levels I achieved an A* in both Mathematics and Computer Science, an A in Further Maths and a B in an EPQ. Additionally, in GCSEs I scored a 9 in maths and physics, an 8 in Biology and Chemistry and a 7 in Computer Science.

About the lesson

The first few lessons will focus on understanding your current level of learning, your strengths and most importantly your weaknesses. From there I will work tirelessly to ensure that by the time exams come around your weaknesses are now your strong points. Providing powerpoints for explanations, and endless examples for practice depending on your needs. And if you're interested, I can create and distribute worksheets for you to complete outside of the sessions for me to mark and feedback what you got correct and where you made mistakes. Typical sessions will be an hour long aimed towards years 10-13 (ages 14-18), or those studying GCSEs or A-levels. Preferably following the OCR exam board, however I am able to and willing to adapt to other common exam boards.
