About Jonathan

Hey! I’m Jonathan, a current student at Monash University. I hold diploma level qualifications in Piano Repertoire and Music Theory, and I aim to not only deliver results, but develop a strong knowledge of technique, interpretation, and musicianship.

I have an extensive 14+ year background in Piano repertoire and theory, having gone through the comprehensive process of AMEB examinations myself. I’ve been coached by top university professors, AMEB examiners and Juilliard School graduates, which has shaped my knowledge with high-level pedagogical and performance insight. You can rest assured knowing the content I teach strongly aligns with what examiners look for at the TOP STANDARD.

About the lesson

Our first session will be centred around setting short/long term goals you have and allowing me to gauge your current proficiency level. I understand that every student is different, and so it is critical to tailor lessons to different needs. Typically, lessons will be between 30-60 minutes depending on age and requirements of each student.

I think after my years of being tutored by such a kind and compassionate soul, I can firmly say this man can be regarded with the HIGHEST honor of piano teaching. No words can describe the grind and labor that this LEGEND of a man has put me through, and even less words can describe how worth it all was. The journey of teaching this piano PRODIGY provided is no short of an experience on par with the piano version of the remake of the film Whiplash (2014). For ANYONE looking for a new piano tutor, I suggest you STOP looking because the universe's ways has brought you to the ONLY place you need to be, ever. This was destiny.
