About Ruby
I am a second-year Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Specialist student at the University of Toronto, a program combining biology and computer science. I have a strong academic background in math, sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science. I tutor middle and high school students looking to improve their grades or deepen their interest in the sciences.
I am patient, easy to talk to, and genuinely interested in how each student thinks. My supervisors have noted that communication is one of my strengths. I find ways to explain things that make sense to the person in front of me, not just textbook definitions.
