About Matthew
I'm a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where I studied physics, general science, and computer science. As a member of the UWaterloo Data Science Club I taught group sessions about data science concepts and data analysis platforms. As a Let's Talk Science educator, I taught science lessons ranging from biology to astronomy for kindergarten to grade 12 students. I have been tutoring math and physics for seven years and computer science/programming for one year.

As a tutor, I specialize in math, physics, and programming languages like Python, C, SQL, C#, CSS, and HTML. My teaching philosophy revolves around sparking curiosity and ensuring a solid foundation. I ask questions throughout the tutoring session to make sure students understand each concept and can connect and build on the material we cover. I want students to feel confident in their abilities and comfortable tackling new subjects in their classes. I am comfortable teaching concepts to middle school, high school and university students.
