About Adele

I am a South African Native. I love our beautiful and diverse country and its people. I consider myself an empath and believe that growth happens when you learn to embrace the good and the bad in a positive manner. I graduated in 1992 and began my teaching career. I specialized in the intermediate phase (Grades 4-6) but have experience in teaching both the intermediate and senior phase (Grades 7-9). I am fully bilingual with excellent communication and writing skills. What I find the most rewarding is seeing my students' confidence grow as they reach their goals. I'm a registered member of the South African Council of Educators and I am TEFL certified. Alongside teaching, I also embarked on a career as an Event Planner in 2020 which I thoroughly enjoyed and had the privilege of creating the most beautiful events and memories over the past 25 years. In my personal capacity I enjoy walking, nature and dancing. I have an appreciation for poetry, spoken word and storytelling. I'm crazy about music and love rainy weather. A personal goal I have set for myself is trying my hand at podcasting and will hopefully get to that in the near future.

About the lesson

I'm flexible, adaptable and focused on every student's individual needs. I believe in being supportive and encouraging in order to help you reach your full potential. With decades of experience, I'm adept at identifying exactly what is required to succeed. My experience also gave me the necessary insight into the challenges faced by learners both socially and in the current educational landscape.
