About Clementine
With over 4 years of teaching and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies, I specialise in ear training for guitarists. I believe listening is as important as playing. My lessons centre on transcribing guitar solos, learning chord progressions by ear, and developing pitch accuracy. I want my students to feel confident not only reading music, but also hearing it. Ear training brings a deeper connection to the instrument. I guide students step by step, from recognising intervals to reproducing melodies. Over time, this builds the ability to play fluidly without relying on written notation. My teaching is patient but challenging, always aimed at growth. I encourage students to treat mistakes as part of the process. Together, we build listening habits that improve improvisation and performance. Many of my students say they feel freer when jamming or composing after working on ear training. My goal is to help you unlock the same confidence and creativity.

I teach guitar by blending theory with hands-on practice. Many students are told theory is complicated, but my approach breaks it into simple, usable steps. We explore how scales and modes connect across the fretboard. Chord construction is explained through easy patterns and relationships. Harmonic analysis is used to understand why songs sound the way they do. This knowledge gives students freedom to play and create. I make sure each idea translates into something you can hear and play. Improvisation is introduced early so theory feels alive. I adapt lessons for students aiming for stage performance or those seeking classical precision. Both find that theory becomes an empowering skill. My lessons are supportive and goal-focused, making space for questions and curiosity. By the end, students see theory as a friend, not a barrier. The aim is to build both strong technique and musical confidence.
