I follow a tailored approach for each student. The tailored approach comprises of understanding 3 things:
1. Student's thought process/Needs
2. Level of Understanding
I try my best to utilize these components and come up with an effective approach for each student. I would like to give examples that are relatable to the student.
Who am I?
I am a student at UNSW pursuing my master's degree in Information Technology. Previously, I used to work as a Data Scientist in Wipro.
Academically,I have a background in Chemical Engineering and Applied Statistics.
I have mentored many of my classmates during my bachelors and other times. I have sat with them and helped them prepare for exams.
Also, I have played mentor to my colleagues at work too. I must say I enjoyed doing it and learnt a lot while I was at it.
The Enabling style!
When it comes to teaching someone to solve problems, I don't like to follow a mechanical approach. I prefer discussing the steps and the thought process to approaching the problem and enable them to arrive at the solution by themselves.
