About Octavio
Because I'm still a student, I get the stuff that isn't on the syllabus: the assignment you started too late, the concept the lecturer flew past, the exam that's somehow already next week. I won't talk down to you or make you feel behind, and I don't buy that some people just "aren't math people." Usually one earlier idea never landed, and once we find it, the rest stops being a fight. Outside class I lift, play sports, and volunteer on weekends. I speak Spanish, so I'm happy to tutor in English or Spanish.

Every student is in a slightly different spot, so the first session is mostly me figuring out yours: what class you're in, which textbook and topics you're covering, where things started feeling shaky, and what you're aiming for, passing, pulling a grade up, or getting ahead. From there I build the sessions around your actual coursework instead of a generic curriculum. I work with high school level students that are taking math courses such as statistics and calculus.
