About Matthew
Recently graduated in December last year in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (1st Class Honours). I have been a PASS leader for 3 years (Peer Assisted Study Sessions), whereby I facilitated group learning in subjects I excelled at during my time at UOW.
I have also been involved in the Summer Master Classes here at UOW as a mentor; a program designed to allow year 12 students to get a taste of university life within the STEM field.

My PASS classes I held had a lesson plan, but was entirely flexible depending on what the students wanted to cover in that lesson. These worked best when students brought problems they were struggling with, as they were more engaged during the lesson.
I can teach in any style the student wishes, whether they wanted to be guided completely through the questions or through a method of re-directive questioning (second option is obviously best in the long run).
Lessons with multiple students is ideal as it allows me to bounce questions across the room, rather than me answering it directly, allowing for a deeper understanding of the concept to be formed.
