I am a psychology student at UOW. I have 2 years of experience in tutoring, and currently have 2 long term tutees in mathematics and sciences. I provide a mentor-mentee relationship, and facilitate growth for students to reach their academic or life goal potential.

My approach towards tutoring students is casual and laid back, providing a mentor-mentee relationship, starting sessions by catching up with what the student has been up to academically and over the week.
My philosophy regarding tutoring is to not be a teacher, but to facilitate an improvement of the student's process of thinking, it's 'not what you know, it's how you know' approach. I first generally want to see the level of knowledge of what my tutee has on a certain topic, so that we can effectively work on his/her weaknesses. I encourage the student to ask stupid questions and make mistakes often.
