About Koko
I am currently a full-time student at the University of Wollongong, studying a Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of International Studies (Dean's Scholar). I have been studying Japanese since I was in Year 5 and studied it at school (Years 5-7), at home (Years 8-10) and through correspondence (Years 11-12), and received an overall mark of 90 for that subject in my HSC. As someone who has studied a second language through various methods, I understand the challenges that people may face through these platforms.

My lessons are catered to the level of the individual, so before the first lesson I like to get to know the student and their level of understanding. I aim for bite-sized, easy-to-understand lessons which are perfect for those in a beginner or intermediate level who need a little extra boost in their language studies!
When learning any language, it is important to practice speaking and listening in real-time. My lessons usually have a special focus on pronunciation, conversation and reading comprehension. If you are learning Japanese for the first time, I offer lessons in basic grammar, speaking skills and listening comprehension. If you have studied Japanese before and have specific areas you want to improve on, or an assignment you have no idea where to begin on, I can help you out.
No matter what your level, you will always be learning something new, and I'll be there every step of the way!
