About Joshua
passion for teaching. Though I currently work as software engineer, I majored in the humanties discipline at university and graduated with first class honours.
Though I am new to Superprof, I have been tutoring for several years and use my experience to tutor those still in education in: English Literature, History, Philosophy and essay writing.
If I'm not working, you'll likely find me at the beach enjoying a surf, or reading whatever book I am currently halfway through!

The lessons will be carefully tailored to support the needs of the client. Typically, I tutor people who are still in education. Therefore I usually ask what they are studying, and build a series of lessons around that particular topic.
For instance, if you were studying the Elizabethan English historical period, we would review the historical flash points, key chaarcters and events. Discuss some contempary, and modern sources, before doing some practice essays.
All of the lessons will be a blend of the specific subject, and a emphasis on essay writing and critiquing source material.

Joshua has a very wide breadth of knowledge which I took full advantage of when studying for my English exam in London. He really knows his stuff when it comes to both English literature and history, is a patient teacher and has knowledge which extends past UK writers/history, which gives him a edge over other tutors in my opinion
Josh is a great teacher, he got me through my final year at high school and really helped me gain a better understanding, particularly when it came to writing essays!
