About Antonio

I graduated from UTEP in 2021 with a bachelor's in biological sciences. Since then, my goal has been to become a physician, as I plan to attend medical school in 2025. I am pursuing a master's degree in order to achieve my academic goals as well as to become a better scientist. During my undergraduate years, I had ample experience in research while working in a lab that investigated the effects of proteins that regulate the circadian rhythm. I have worked as a medical scribe, which has not only taught me how to care for patients but also how to teach and explain basic science concepts to anyone. I have also worked various jobs in retail, which have provided me with tools such as patience and respect for all individuals.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for high school as well as undergraduate-level courses. I can tackle any biology-related topic at the levels mentioned previously. My teaching style relies on understanding the topics fundamentally through gradual exposure rather than rote memorization. I teach you how to understand biological concepts, not simply the memorization of facts. Typically, we will start by exploring a subject superficially, and then once you have a decent grasp of the subject, we will tackle any doubts you have and then move on to harder concepts. I keep my lessons engaging by providing you with helpful diagrams and illustrations to help cement your knowledge. I will ask you questions after every lesson to gauge your understanding and adjust future lessons accordingly. My goal is to help you achieve your desired academic success while providing a safe environment in which you can learn without any judgment.
