About Janet
I’ve graduated from Rossmoyne Senior high school and am currently pursuing computer science at UWA.
I started tutoring Maths at school as a volunteer service for a few months and after graduating I have since tutored a student in year 12 maths for five months now and am also currently teaching someone in year 5. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to teach in a one-on-one situation, focusing my attention on one willing student, and waiting for that moment when everything clicks. That moment is really rewarding.

Maths is always more than memorising equations or rules, to truly 'get it' is to understand the concepts and reasoning behind them.
Hence my Lessons would not only explain the theories and concepts, it would involve students to delve into related problems and gain a better understanding of the topic themselves.
I also believe it's important to build an easy rapport with students at the start, making the student feel at ease, putting the student in a position where they would feel comfortable asking questions, for example, and getting a complete understanding of the material at hand.
