As a former bio classmate and long time friend of Jay, I can confidently affirm he is THE GOAT of biology and teaching general. He is not afraid to answer any questions you throw at him as he always will try everything within his capacity to provide you with an answer not just for the sake of giving an answer, but for your understanding of said concept or query. As a teacher I think this is an extremely invaluable skill that a lot of modern day tutors lack when dealt with students especially within year 12 when there is a lot of stress and anxiety coming in. And I think this is where Jay excels not solely academically but as a person. Jay is extremely compassionate within everything he does and strives to do the best of his ability. He is an extraordinary person who works his hardest to achieve the best and honestly deserves everything that’s he works for. I have seen jay face a lot of stress over the course of the past 2 years whether it be by group work or solo academic work, and he has proven even under pressure his tenacity to achieving the best result. Jay is extremely experienced in handling group tasks and has the qualities of a leader as he is able to quickly recognize and adapt to whatever is thrown at him. His aptitude to teaching by example and deconstructing concepts by simple concepts really helped me to learn complex things. He is a really cool guy who is calm kind and understanding with his friends. So as a teacher I think he will excel with helping students reach the best of their abilities.
