About Kavita
Hello! I am a nationally-accredited Japanese to English translator who loves tutoring Japanese to enthusiastic students. I have lived and worked in Japan for most of the past 7 years in Japanese-speaking work environments, but am currently taking a long break from Japan to focus on freelance translation.
I have tutored Japanese for over 10 years. Previous students have received raw study scores of above 40 for VCE Japanese. If you want to excel at your VCE studies, or even just build up your confidence for the exams, be in touch!

I tutor from my studio in West Footscray, Melbourne, where I have many authentic Japanese language materials such as comics, books, DS games and DVDs that I am happy to lend out to students for extra practice between lessons.
Besides building on foundational knowledge drawing from several different textbooks, I also work on boosting the confidence of students as they prepare for VCE Japanese oral examinations and listening tasks, and ensure understanding of grammar and content covered in their classes at school.
My first lesson is always free, so that you can decide for yourself whether my tutoring style is right for you.
