About Everett
With 17+ years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about teaching Guitar and helping High School and College students discover their musical potential. I have successfully taught around 300-350 students, which has been one of the proudest milestones in my teaching career. Working with so many learners has helped me understand different learning styles and has made me a more patient, flexible, and confident educator.
I believe that every student can learn Guitar with the right guidance and encouragement. My teaching approach is friendly, supportive, and focused on steady improvement. I first understand each student's skill level, interests, and goals, then plan lessons that match their individual needs.
My lessons cover chords, scales, rhythm, strumming patterns, finger techniques, music theory, song learning, and performance skills. I explain every concept in simple steps and use practical demonstrations to make learning easier. I also encourage students to learn songs they enjoy because connecting lessons with their favorite music makes practice more interesting.
Teaching 300-350 students has been an important career achievement for me. It has given me experience with beginners as well as students who already have some musical knowledge. I have learned how to encourage students who need more confidence and challenge those who are ready to develop further.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students overcome challenges. When a student finally plays a difficult chord sequence or confidently performs a complete song, I feel proud of their progress. These moments continue to inspire my passion for education.
I encourage students to set small goals and practice consistently. I remind them that mistakes are a natural part of learning and should never stop them from trying. Every mistake can become an opportunity to understand and improve.
My goal is not only to teach Guitar but also to help students develop creativity, discipline, patience, concentration, perseverance, confidence, and independence. These qualities can support them in their academic and personal lives.
I want every lesson to be positive, practical, and inspiring. I want students to leave each class with stronger skills and greater confidence in their abilities. I am proud of the journey I have taken so far and excited to continue helping many more students discover the joy of Guitar.

My Guitar teaching methodology focuses on learning by doing. I believe students understand Guitar better when they actively play, listen, practice, and apply every new concept.
I first use Communication to understand the student's experience, goals, musical interests, and learning preferences. This helps me create lessons that are comfortable and useful.
I use Adaptation to Learning Styles through demonstrations, chord charts, audio examples, written instructions, repetition, and practical playing. I divide difficult techniques into smaller exercises so students can learn step by step.
I use Real-life Examples and Case Studies from songs and performances. Students learn how chord progressions, rhythm patterns, scales, picking, and strumming are used in actual music. I also teach practical skills such as playing with singers, keeping time, and preparing songs.
My Guitar curriculum includes chords, rhythm, strumming, fingerstyle, picking, scales, lead guitar, improvisation, music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance preparation. Related subjects include Music Theory, Songwriting, Ear Training, Rhythm Training, Music Appreciation, Basic Composition, and Performance Skills.
I provide practical exercises and constructive feedback after each stage. My goal is to make students active learners who can confidently apply their Guitar skills in real musical situations.
