About Jacqueline
Hi, I’m Jackie a Veterinary Student at the University of Liverpool. I completed my GCSEs in 2018 and achieved grade 9s in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I went on to study these at A level where I achieved an A* in Biology, and A’s in Chemistry and Physics. I decided to take a gap year before starting university and spent this time tutoring students who were unable to go into school as a result of the Coronavirus lockdowns, I really enjoyed this experience and being able to see my students return to education in a strong place and achieve well gave me immense satisfaction and inspired me to continue tutoring while I complete my degree.

I believe that the key to successful tutoring is creating a friendly and welcoming environment, where students are free to ask questions and voice concerns without fearing judgement. I aim for all of my lessons to be positive and enjoyable as well as educational. I gained experience tutoring GCSE biology and chemistry during my gap year before university and really enjoyed helping students to improve and watching them achieve results they could be proud of. Having completed my GCSEs in 2018 I feel I have a unique understanding of the new system and grading and feel comfortable teaching GCSE students, however I also have experience tutoring younger primary school level children. My lessons are typically an hour long but this is flexible.
