About Joshua
Hello,
My name is Joshua and I am a university student studying veterinary medicine here in Perth, offering beginner friendly piano lessons.
I've completed Pianoforte up to Grade 8 AMEB standard and have been teaching piano for around 3 years now, to children from the ages of 5 upwards. I also enjoy playing the violin, having played in various bands/orchestras since I was 12.
I've helped students achieve their goals, from playing their favourite piece to passing their first exam!
My goal as a teacher is for my students to enjoy what they are playing, and to learn about the beautiful art of music.
I also have experience tutoring at a Kumon Education Centre, so I can also tutor math, science and English, mainly from primary up to high school year 10 level.

Piano Lessons:
- I cater to the students needs and goals, from beginner to intermediate level
- I can help you prepare for AMEB exams, or help you learn your favourite pieces!
- 30 to 45 minutes depending on goals and level
- I have more experience teaching younger students from age 5+ but will be open to teaching all ages!
My qualifications and experience: I have completed up to Grade 8 Pianoforte AMEB and Grade 6 Violin AMEB. I have taught for around 3 years now, both privately and for a music school.
Math, Science and English Tutoring:
- From primary school level to around Year 10
- I can also help prep for tests and assessments like NAPLAN
- Lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour
My qualifications and experience: I graduated high school in 2020 with an ATAR of 97.60, and I studied Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, Japanese, English and Chemistry ATAR. After graduation, I worked at a Kumon Education Centre for around a year, tutoring math and English.
