About Noreen
Music education should feel less like a chore and more like an athletic pursuit of precision. Most beginners assume that intonation is a talent one is born with, yet it is entirely a technical skill.
Having taught 300 students over 13 years, I understand the mechanics of ear training and classical repertoire. My background at the Australian National Academy of Music informs how I approach double stops, tuning by ear, and bowing technique. I find that once the mechanics click, the joy of playing naturally increases, so I keep the focus on steady improvement.

You sit down, place the instrument under your chin, and suddenly the struggle with intonation fades into a clean, resonant note. My 13 years of performance experience mean I can quickly diagnose where your bowing technique falters during a piece. I offer a free trial lesson to gauge your starting level, which allows me to see exactly where we need to focus our efforts.
Because I work with a wide range of students, I know how to explain complex shifts in classical repertoire using simple, direct language. We make sure the progress is measurable and clear, leaving you with specific tasks for the week ahead.
