About Sharon
Holding an Artist Diploma in Music Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium influences how I view violin technique. After years spent performing, I now teach full time, focusing on shifting positions and tuning by ear.
I work closely with students on scales and arpeggios, bowing technique, and double stops to ensure a strong foundation. Classical repertoire and left hand agility are vital components of the lessons I offer. My experience also extends to orchestral playing, music theory, and ear training for those seeking a deeper understanding. My teaching style is clear and detail oriented, ensuring you feel encouraged while mastering these complex skills.

Pacing remains steady during our sessions. Feedback arrives immediately after you play. I draw upon my formal training to explain bowing technique clearly. We work through orchestral playing and theory at your speed.
A free trial lesson to gauge starting level is available to all newcomers. You will master scales and arpeggios through repetition.
Left hand agility exercises will sharpen your playing. I offer 7 specific areas of focus for your development. My 13 years of experience ensures you receive the best guidance. Achieving your musical goals is the primary objective.
