About Louisa
I am a passionate violin teacher looking to help students of all ages to develop their skills and interests for music. I love seeing my students grow through the years and improve both technically and musically, it gives me great joy.

My name is Louisa, and I have over five years of violin teaching experience, with students ranging from as young as five to more advanced students in their mid-teens. Based in Wahroonga, I am currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. My performance experiences span across local and international stages, including performances at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Wiener Saal in Salzburg. These experiences have assisted my teaching, particularly in helping my students develop stage confidence and performance skills. I was awarded a Distinction in my AMEB LMusA exam in 2021, which has provided me understanding of the exam requirements, enabling me to guide my students confidently across the varying grades of the AMEB syllabus. My teaching style is a combination of the Suzuki and AMEB methods, as well as some personally developed methods for new beginners, tailored to each student’s individual learning pace and goals. Whilst I place a strong emphasis on building solid technical foundations, as well as the importance of developing musical maturity, I always ensure my students are enjoying and having fun in their musical journeys!
