About Elijah
My name is Elijah, I have been playing violin for 9 years. I am a senior in high school, and I play in the Gallatin Philharmonic Symphony in Bozeman Montana, as well as a chamber group called the Gallatin Kamerata.
The Gallatin Philharmonic is Internationally recognized and one of the best high school symphonies in the country. Last spring, we took a trip to Vienna, Prague and Austria to play for audiences min the old concert halls.
Before I started the violin, I played the piano. (15 years of music in total) Now, alongside the violin, I also play the electric and acoustic guitar, the mandolin, and the ukulele. I also do music production.

-I teach the Suzuki violin method which involves learning the basics by ear. This was the way I learned and I believe it is the best way to learn the violin
- I also play the fiddle (same instrument, different style) Fiddling compliments the style of Suzuki violin very well.
- A typical lesson would start with some review of the previous lesson, and I would give tips and pointers for individual practice, then we would look at new material and I would give practice spots.
- I will teach all of the important basics of posture and form.
- My lessons are for beginner to intermediate violinists who would like to learn violin along with improving their ear skills.
