Duration : 1 pack (10 lessons) runs about 5 weeks. 2 lessons in a week and each lesson is 2 hours. - Price : $35.00 - Place : ComoMy name is Ogi, I am a painter, art educator which obtained academic art education in Eastern Europe in 1980s and taught art in Australia since 2010. I have extensive experience in teaching painting at the under-graduate through to post-graduate levels. My teaching skills are mainly in the areas of painting and drawing. In these I have traditional training and a contemporary art practice to complement these skills. I am interested in teaching contemporary art practice that includes skills that students need to pursue their interests. I have included images from traditional possibilities of teaching anatomy and portraiture for instance. My teaching philosophy focuses on encouraging students to constantly seek answers to questions that our daily lives generate and to ask questions when there is uncertainty. I encourage critical thinking but without criticism. In my view, education in the field of Art goes hand-in-hand with the scholar’s own pursuit of acquiring knowledge and skill to use that knowledge. Each student presents a different challenge – tastes and base knowledge are different. I find I must be flexible to assist each person through careful steps to define their objectives and then pursue those objectives.
