About Haobo
Graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Honors) and a Bachelor of Business. I have experience teaching Mandarin across different school settings and working with students of different ages, learning needs and backgrounds.
I also completed VCE Chinese myself, which gave me first-hand experience of the Victorian Chinese curriculum and assessment process. This helps me better understand the expectations students face and how to support them with language learning, schoolwork and exam preparation.
I am flexible, patient and student-centered in my teaching. I enjoy getting to know my students, understanding how they learn and building positive relationships with them. I am comfortable adjusting my teaching approach when students need a different explanation or learning method.
My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident, understood and motivated to learn Chinese.

Lessons can focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, school support, daily conversation or Chinese culture. I use clear explanations, interactive activities and practical examples to make learning engaging and easy to follow.
As a VIT-registered teacher with school teaching experience, understand how to adapt lessons to different learning styles and abilities.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to students who want to improve their school performance or everyday communication skills. Lesson length can be adjusted depending on the student’s age, needs and learning goals.
