About Nikhil

Born and brought up in Chandigarh, I've earned a 6-year Bachelor's degree in Hindustani Classical Music (Vocals) from Prayag University, Allahabad, under the tutelage of a guru (a classical music exponent Sh. Vinod Sood). In addition, I've been using these skills, blended with Western music terminologies, to create, experiment and make music since last few years. Over the years, I have collaborated with several musicians on different projects, taught music to the varied age of music seekers (currently teaching Western/Indian vocals) and have performed live with my band at various prominent locations in India. Have a professional background of more than 6 years in learning, performing & teaching music, Have performed for parties for Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and more than 100+ shows worldwide Have won national level accolades from Hrithik Roshan with the likes of Salim Merchant, KK Menon and working with international clients in the corporate sector (MNCs) for around 3 years, I am currently working on few collaborative musical projects and will be sharing out these soon via required channels.

About the lesson

What we'll be doing here? Vocals (Singing) Starting from the very basics of 'Sur & Taal', we'll be covering the technicalities of 'Hindustani Classical Music' blended with Western music theory, proper singing technique (riyaz) and the nuances of singing so that we can sing our favorite songs keeping a wide perspective in music. Guitar (Acoustic) We'll be nurturing our guitar playing abilities in harmony with the grammar of music here. Starting from the very basic guitar strings, fretboard, key signatures, scales, chords, etc., we'll be learning different guitar playing skills, patterns and techniques so as to confidently play our favorite songs.
