About Eleanor
Experienced Singing/ Voice/ Yoga Teacher and Sound Healer I am a Vocal Coach, Yoga Teacher and Sound Healer. I trained as an actor at one of the top UK drama schools and have over 9 years' experience working as an actor, singer, singing teacher and drama facilitator for various Theatres, Schools and Arts organisations. I am currently studying for my Masters Degree in Voice Pedagogy through the Voice Study Centre (partner college of University of Essex). I trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2019, and a Sound Healer in 2023. I host classes around my local area - and combine these ancient practices with traditional vocal technique to offer a holistic, embodied approach to voice work that centres the person. My work as a facilitator/ teacher has been across numerous organisations including Youth Theatres, Music Services and Theatres, both on a 1:1 basis, and with groups/ classes. I have guided young people through their LCM Music Theatre exams, BTEC Music Assessments, through preparation of repertoire for Drama School Auditions and towards shows. I have also worked extensively with very young children as an early-years singing/ drama teacher and facilitator in primary schools- combining the fun and excitement of singing, acting and dancing with curriculum topics to create unique performances. As detailed above I also regularly hold space for adults, sharing Yoga/ Sound Healing and have also taught adults voice lessons. Throughout my career so far I have found a real pleasure in sharing my knowledge and expertise in voice work, particularly in 1:1 settings. I am passionate about the connection between creativity and well-being. On my Masters course and as my practice develops, I am researching how Yoga and Sound Healing (e.g. nervous system regulation, reduced anxiety etc) can benefit performers. I am also furthering my understanding of how the physical practices of yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) can enhance/ support vocal performance- all of this contributing to my holistic approach to voice work. I have a keen interest in supporting performers through auditions drama school training and beyond, which can be a challenging emotional experience, particularly when it comes to voice practice.

When working with children I have a relaxed, fun approach to singing that builds confidence, self-expression and communication skills as well as technique! I am passionate about singing as a mindful activity that is great for children's well-being! My method when working with adults, Holistic Voice Coaching, draws upon my extensive research and a decade as a performer, facilitator, educator, sound healer and yoga teacher. I blend the ancient practices of yoga and sound with contemporary voice science to create an embodied approach that centres the person; supporting your technique, and your well-being too. This may include: “traditional” vocal exercises vocal yoga/ yoga for singers somatic movement mindful practices like meditation & breath work sound healing practices like toning, chanting, etc. positive affirmations journaling
