About Isla
Have you ever wondered why your voice feels restricted when you stand in front of an audience? My path began long before I earned my degrees, rooted deeply in the expressive traditions of cumbia and vallenato. I translate those emotional vocal textures into practical techniques for resonance and head voice control.
Helping students navigate the anxiety of live performance is a core part of my practice with beginners and returning learners. These skills require patience, yet they offer a lifetime of freedom for your singing voice.
I find that self-taught players often need a bit of structure to reach their next goal. I try to listen to the specific way each person approaches their craft before suggesting adjustments. It just happens.

Why should singing feel like a chore instead of an exploration of your unique tone? I offer free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes to keep your practice effective outside our time together. My approach combines the rigor of my Bachelor of Music and Licenciatura with the comfort of a supportive environment.
