About Bron

I have been teaching beginner piano for the past 2 years. I currently have 5 students whom I teach privately. I travel to them to do so. My relevant qualifications include: B.Arts (Music - Voice), Dip. Music Therapy (current), C.IV Music Performance (Voice & Choral Conducting), C.IV Disability, C.IV Education Support Officer (current)

About the lesson

Each person is an individual, so although I may have specific learning materials I may use, over the years I have learnt to bring different methods to suit the individual, particularly if the student requires different methods of learning and succeeding. In some cases, I have needed to draw on my experience in the disability sector, and in my Music Therapy work, in order to assist the student to do so. I believe myself to be a patient person, and understanding. I love to see each person succeed in what they want to achieve.

I have a "never give up" approach to tasks, so I believe that I am a loyal and trustworthy person.

Perfect! Highly recommend Bron who taught piano to my 12yr old daughter (ASD). Bron is kind and patient and her approach is flexible – she incorporated music therapy into the lessons as she recognized this as a good match for my daughter’s needs. Importantly she has a good sense of humour and was well liked by my daughter. She was also able to travel to my house and provide lessons on a weekend.

Bronwyn provided music therapy sessions for my son when he was in primary school. She showed a very good understanding of his special needs and adapted sessions to suit him. She was great at teaching him different concepts (eg safely crossing the road) through the use of music, and even wrote songs to use with various topics. I believe my son’s love of music was nurtured and has grown through his sessions with Bronwyn.
