About Manami

Hi! I’m Manami, a passionate Japanese teacher living in Australia since 2016. From 2017 to 2023, I taught Japanese to students of all ages at a language school. I love teaching because I also learn so much from my students, and enjoy creating lessons that are both effective and enjoyable. As a mother, online teaching allows me to continue doing what I love. Whether you are a beginner or looking to polish your skills, I am here to make your learning experience rewarding and fun!

About the lesson

I have over 5 years of experience teaching Japanese. I offer engaging and effective lessons tailored to all levels, from beginner to JLPT N3 candidates. Additionally, I am experienced in teaching young children, including 5-year-olds.

- I use both direct and indirect methods depending on your proficiency levels.

-For adult classes, lessons are generally based on excerpts from the "Minna no Nihongo" textbook or "Genki".

-Conversation focused class (target students can read both Hiragana and Katakana)

-Learn practical Japanese for your upcoming trip

-Adult lessons: 50, 60, or 90 minutes long

-Kids lessons: 35 or 45 minutes long (it depending on their age)

I felt that she is a very friendly and polite person. I understood that Ann knows many Japanese words and kanji. Although she knows many, she seemed to struggle with connecting those words together or being unable to recall them in the moment, so I would like to work on improving her Japanese by asking her about commonly used expressions and grammar she frequently uses.
