About Graeme
I’ve been playing guitar for over 25 years and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Over the years I’ve played everything from blues and rock to country and metal, performed with bands, written songs and spent countless hours learning from other musicians.
Throughout that time I’ve had lessons from a variety of teachers, each with their own strengths and approaches. This has given me a broad perspective on learning guitar and helped me understand that there is no single “correct” way to learn. Different people learn in different ways, and I enjoy helping students find an approach that works for them.
I want to teach because I know how much enjoyment guitar has brought me and I’d like to help others experience the same thing. Rather than taking a purely academic approach, I focus on practical musicianship, creativity and helping people become confident players. Whether your goal is to play your favourite songs, jam with friends, write music or simply have a rewarding hobby, I enjoy helping people make steady progress while enjoying the journey.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 25 years and have experience across a wide range of styles including blues, rock, country, metal and alternative music.
Whether you’re a complete beginner picking up a guitar for the first time or a more experienced player looking to improve your technique, understanding of music, improvisation or songwriting, lessons can be tailored to your goals and interests.
I believe learning guitar should be enjoyable and focused on the music that inspires you. Rather than following a rigid programme, I work with students to develop the skills they need while helping them play the songs and styles they enjoy.
