About Thrivid

Hi! My name is Thriv!

I am 24 years old and I am super passionate about Japanese language. For the past 5 years I have been dedicated to studying Japanese initially as just a hobby but now it has become something so much more.

Through learning Japanese I have been able to meet a lot of amazing people and opened so many doors that I couldn't imagine my life without speaking it. I am really looking forward to passing on that same potential to you!

If you have a strong interest in Japanese culture, anime, music, or anything else, I truly believe learning the language is a gateway to deepening your appriciation of it all!

For myself, other than Japanese, I play both the drums and guitar, compete in both powerlifting and Muay Thai, and, love video games! Let's learn together and talk about the things we love in japanese!

About the lesson

My Japanese lessons are designed for learners of all ages, from complete beginners with no prior knowledge to intermediate speakers looking to improve and advance their skills. Specifically, I cater to students ranging from N5 to N3 proficiency levels. Whether you're a student preparing for language exams or an enthusiast eager to explore Japanese culture, my tutoring sessions are customized to help you achieve your goals.

I studied Japanese from the University of Southampton to an N4 level alongside my law degree and have continued my learning to an N2 level. With five years of speaking, reading and writing experience, I possess a strong foundation in the language. My tutoring experience in other subjects has honed my ability to create engaging, personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's learning style and goals.

My lessons are flexible and negotiable in length, typically ranging from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the student's needs and availability. This allows for a balance between thorough instruction and manageable, focused study sessions.
