About Betty
French is part of a five-year tutoring career during which I have taught 220 students, many of them adult beginners exploring a new language later in life. Vocabulary is grouped around topics students genuinely care about, since personal relevance consistently improves both retention and enjoyment of lessons over time. The atmosphere stays relaxed throughout, treating mistakes as a completely normal part of learning rather than something to fear or hide. Every session ends with a short informal conversation entirely in French, applying what was just learned in a low-pressure way.
