About Betty
Spanish is part of a five-year tutoring career during which I have taught 220 students, many of them adult beginners exploring a new language later in life. Vocabulary is grouped around topics students genuinely care about, since personal relevance consistently improves both retention and enjoyment of lessons. The atmosphere stays relaxed throughout, treating mistakes as a completely normal part of learning rather than something to fear. Every session ends with a short informal conversation entirely in Spanish, applying what was just learned. Homework stays light but consistent, always reviewed at the start of the next lesson before moving forward.
