About Herui
Hi, I am Herui ("Hurry").
If you are looking at this page right now, you are probably interested in learning more about Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Chess. Either way, you are in the right spot!
I was born and raised in China for 12 years, then I moved into the United States with my family. I still communicate in Chinese with my family on a daily basis.
I started playing chess around 2021 April, and I was rated 700 ELO, in rapid, on chess.com at first. I'm now over 1700 ELO, in rapid, on chess.com, and I could never have improved at such rate if I wasn't passionate about chess; I wish to pass down the same appreciation I have for this game to others who are interested to learn!

These lessons are mainly built for students with very little or no experience at all with the Chinese language structure.
It is designed to teach students about phonetics of words in Chinese, so they are able to pronounce characters with the assist of 拼音(Pīn Yīn), which is simply how Chinese characters are spelled.
Notice: unlike the English Language, writing and spelling are completely two different concepts for Chinese.
For example: 河 is spelled as "hé".
