About Michael
I grew up in Brooklyn's "Little Italy”. We had traditional family shops where Italian was spoken and even a Maestro to teach us music. I also studied the language as an adult. That's when I started helping people read and write letters and emails to and from family. Neighborhood jobs wanted bi-lingual workers. I taught many people both English and Italian.
Those lessons were free so my professional experience begins now.
I love to teach to explain stuff and see the moment of Ï've got it!". I've also tutored math and science to many students over the years.

I apply the idea that hearing, speaking and reading the target language as much as is reasonably possible is the most effective way to learn it. I will use popular music, TV, movies, books magazines and newspapers.
I also can teach the underlying grammar and syntax in an intuitive manner examining how different parts of speech fit together in a way that makes it easier to remember. You will guide the lessons by telling me your goals and interests concerning Italian. We can concentrate only on conversation or study grammar too. We'll do what's practical based on your input and also try to have fun learning the language and culture in a natural way.
