About Molly

I’m Molly Hagman, an international professional Latin dancer, instructor, performer, and choreographer based in New York City.

I have over 13 years of teaching experience and an extensive professional dance education. I trained internationally for more than 5 years before continuing my education in New York City, including approximately 4 years of training at the renowned Broadway Dance Center.

While I specialize professionally in Salsa and Latin dance, my training spans a wide range of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial Dance, Heels, Street Styles, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Bachata, and more. This diverse background allows me to create unique wedding choreography across different styles of music — whether you envision something romantic and elegant, fun and upbeat, Latin-inspired, or a full show-stopping performance.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught students of all levels, from complete beginners taking their very first dance steps to advanced and professional dancers. My goal is always to make dancing feel approachable, enjoyable, and natural.

For your wedding, I’ll use my experience as both a professional dancer and choreographer to create a first dance that fits you — your personalities, abilities, chosen song, and vision — rather than simply teaching you a generic routine.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and confident while enjoying the process together. Your first dance should feel like you, not like you’re simply memorizing steps.

Make your first dance one of the most memorable moments of your wedding day!

Whether you’re complete beginners or already comfortable on the dance floor, I’ll create a personalized first dance that feels natural, confident, and uniquely you.

Your lessons are tailored to your chosen song, style, personalities, and experience level. We can create anything from a simple, romantic and elegant first dance to a fun, energetic or show-stopping routine incorporating turns, dips, lifts, and different dance styles.

I’ll guide you step by step through the choreography, musicality, partnering, technique, and presentation so that you feel comfortable and confident when it’s time to step onto the dance floor.

No previous dance experience is necessary — just bring your song, your partner, and your vision!
