About Trisha
Hi! I’m Trisha, a professionally trained vocalist and vocal coach with a degree in music with honours, Trinity Grade 8 in Rock & Pop Vocals, and over 3 years of teaching experience.
I’ve worked with 100+ students across different ages, levels and musical goals, from complete beginners finding their voice for the first time to experienced singers looking to refine their technique and performance.
My teaching focuses on Western contemporary vocals, including pop, jazz, alternative, rock, metal and musical theatre. I work with students on vocal technique, breath support, pitch, resonance, range, register transitions, tone, musicality, performance and repertoire.
I believe good vocal training should help you understand your own voice rather than make you sound like someone else. My lessons are personalised around your voice, your goals and the music you actually want to sing.
Whether you want to build a strong foundation, become more confident in your voice, prepare a song for performance, develop your range or take your singing more seriously, I’ll help you build the skills to do it with intention and consistency.
I also teach music theory and songwriting for students who want to develop their musicianship alongside their voice!

Every lesson is individually tailored to your voice, current level and goals.
A typical session may include vocal warm-ups and exercises, technique development, repertoire work, musicality, performance coaching and targeted exercises based on what your voice needs that day.
Depending on your goals, we may work on areas such as:
• Breath coordination and support
• Pitch and vocal stability
• Chest, mix and head voice
• Register transitions and blending
• Range development
• Resonance and tone
• Vocal agility and control
• Rhythm and musicality
• Song interpretation and performance
• Building a healthy and sustainable singing technique
We’ll also work with songs that are appropriate for your level and relevant to your musical interests, so that technical exercises translate into actual singing.
After each lesson, I provide concise session notes with the key areas we worked on, exercises or practice points to continue with, and what we’ll focus on next. This gives you a clear record of your progress and helps you practice effectively between lessons.
My goal is not simply to teach you how to sing one song. It is to help you understand your voice, develop reliable technique and become a more confident and independent singer!

Trisha is my first ever music teacher. She creates a space where you feel encouraged to explore your voice while constantly pushing you to grow beyond your limits. Her guidance goes far beyond technique. You can approach her anytime, about anything, and she helps build confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for music. She is a very kind and genuine person. Trisha is an amazing teacher who truly believes in her students, even before they believe in themselves. She's fun, patient and always holds our hand throughout the entire learning process
Every session is thoughtfully planned, and it's clear how much effort she puts into helping each student grow. She focuses on developing our voices holistically through regular performance training, rock vocal sessions, and choir workshops, ensuring we build both technique and confidence.
The exposure to different musical genres from the lessons has broadened my musical taste and versatility and also helped my confidence.Learning from her has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to grow as a singer.Trisha’s been my vocal coach for around 6 months now and I have seen tremendous growth since, especially considering the fact that I started as an absolute beginner. She believes in her students’ potential and ensures they have the right setting to do their very best. Her focus on technique, music theory, and performance training has been extremely helpful in my vocal journey. More importantly, she’s a true mentor who’ll create a safe space for you to make mistakes and learn from them.
Trisha is an incredible vocal coach. She is super helpful and open-minded. She's been great at helping me navigate the unique challenges with my voice, and has fostered a lovely, safe, and inclusive space in group environments.
What I especially appreciate is her openness to new genres, artists, and techniques- she will never tell you that your voice "doesn't suit" a certain genre or song, and will instead work with you to help you achieve your goals in a realistic way.Trisha is an amazing person & teacher who inspires one to find their own voice. Finding it is a journey she is always there to guide. She has this incredible way of balancing comfort with the discipline needed to truly grow. She doesn’t just teach notes; she helps you become the best version of yourself. Plus, her vocal exercises are total game-changers—I’m hitting notes I never thought were in my range. If you’re looking for a teacher who inspires and transforms, look no further than Trisha
I can't recommend Trisha enough as a vocal coach, she's truly wonderful! Her attention to detail and insightful vocal techniques are absolutely spot on, helping me refine my skills in ways I never imagined. What I love most is how she ensures you're comfortable while gently pushing you to explore styles outside your comfort zone, unlocking the best performance possible.
Trisha is a really good and inspiring teacher. She has a unique way of teaching where the student doesn't feel left out or lost. In a class of 8, she pays attention to every single one and caters to their needs. She chooses songs which can help the student to extend their vocal range which not breaking their voice. Very professional and friendly. Doesn't judge the ones who have no background of music. Students feels safe around her. She teaches in a fun way where new comers don't feel intimidated by others.
I’ve had the pleasure of taking vocal lessons from Trisha for 2 years now, both in a group and then in a private lesson, both of which I would highly recommend as one of her first students. To sum up the wonders Trisha has done for my musical journey is incredibly difficult, not only have I felt transformed as a singer, but a musician as a whole, and she’s significantly helped me overcome my performance anxiety.
I went from singing as an under-confident alto to realising I might be a mezzo and now to Trisha training me as a soprano, a range which I would never have discovered if I Trisha would not have pushed just enough. What’s most beautiful about her will to teach is the fact that she treads very skilfully on the line of ability and possibility and trains you just right, be it higher/lower notes or genres you sing, or even the kind of performances you deliver.
With vocal classes, music theory lessons, performance training sessions, songwriting classes, there is truly nothing Trisha doesn’t cover, helping you build from the ground up, with no prerequisite except the will to learn. Trisha taught me and helped me write my first song, an experience which led me to learn all aspects of a complete musical project, and left me with the skills to do it on my own.
Moreover, it is not just lesson plans or vocal lessons that matter, but it matters the amount of effort she puts into her lessons, performance reports, singing advancement reports, personalised vocal routines, catered genre choosing and so much more beyond the class is what truly marks her a great teacher. Lastly, I owe to her the vastness of music I now listen to and thus learn from, and that goes further than just being a singer, she made me a musician.Trisha is a versatile and knowledgeable teacher who can handle everything from Rock to R&B and Pop. She knows how to push her students to be better while keeping them inspired. Under her guidance, my vocal technique has improved significantly and my musical capabilities have expanded. Her lessons are structured beautifully to encourage constant progress. The performance training she offers is also a game-changer for any aspiring artist. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, Trisha is a fantastic choice for anyone serious about their craft.
I know Trisha J as my music teacher at Monkey Head Academy. She is very cool, friendly, and supportive, which makes learning music fun and comfortable. I met Trisha at an event that happened in my college, which she was judging. Ever since then ive been taking her classes, and it has helped me a lot. I've improved in many areas, places that I've been stuck for year at. Her classes are honestly a safe place. She's always there to support you.
