About Caterina

I am native Italian and fluent in English, so I can understand and wonder on the differences between our two languages and cultures: did you know that there are whales and wolves involved in the Italian way to wish good luck? Let's find out together all the bizzare and colourful Italian expressions that will help you remember Italian words and sentences!

If you are a beginner, I have a special deal for you (Adults only): I'll trade 1 rude Italian word every 10 serious words learned! Bet that you'll remember them in no time? (just joking :-D)
The truth is that you already speak some Italian, without even knowing: ok, no, training, privacy, daily hospital, espresso, and so on...those Italian terms sound familiar, don't they! If you think that it's cheating, you should know that everyone who speaks a foreign language will do it in order to learn faster and speak well earlier on: why won't you? You are able to speak the language by day 1, believe me; and speaking is the hardest part, isn't it: see, you are almost there, let's keep on the good work with some conversation together! :-)

If you are a mum-on-the-run, why don't you come to my place and learn some Italian while your baby play with my baby's toys? Plenty of time to get some foreign language lessons while having an eye on your little one at the same time: everybody wins! I especially like the cookery+language lessons as well: a part of our culture that you will not mind fully tasting! Plenty of healthy recipes to share with your family, and you will learn Italian as well!

As you can see, I really like teaching and finding different ways to explain the same old grammar rules: I always try to listen to my students needs and use whatever seems to work best for them, from music to newspaper articles, cartoons or movies. I will provide you with materials to revise at home, if you wish to do so in a second time.

I have studied language and literature during my university years, both in Italy and in UK, my Master's Degree is in Italian Modern Literature, and I am enrolled as teacher of Italian Literature in Italian lists of substitute teachers.

My Second Level Master Degree is in Business Administration and I worked in different Italian companies, so that I am confident that I can be an asset to professionals looking for a teacher of Italian business language. Moreover, I worked in various roles, so that I had the chance to see many aspects of the Italian business environment that I can convey to my students. I know some legal italian as well.
