About Valie

Hello everyone! My name is Valie (pronounced like 'valley') and I am from a country called the Seychelles. I recently graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada with a degree in Creative Writing and Applied Animal Biology.
I have experience in many different fields and areas of study and am excited to share those experiences with my students.
I have experiences in, and am hoping to teach languages (English, French and Greek), writing (Creative Writing), biology (Animal and Behavioural biology) and instruments (vocals and guitar).

About the lesson

I can help you learn or practice French. Being raised in a French speaking country and having been in a French school till the age of 15, I am very excited to continue practicing my language with you.
My teaching methodology revolves around you: whatever you want to learn or focus on I am happy to work with you to create a lesson plan! I am happy to focus on any area of study.
My lessons and plans are mostly geared towards beginner to intermediate learners (whether in school or university) although I am always happy to help people better their skills in the language regardless of your level.

Perfect! Valie is super personable, kind, and a great teacher! We had conversation classes where she would think of some questions to discuss and then just chat. She would note down all my mistakes as I made them, and then go over them at the end of the class which was super helpful! I really enjoyed practicing my French with her :)
