About YuLing
Hello! My name is Ellen and I am from Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Mandarin is my mother tongue. Out of my love for languages, I studied English on my own and obtained a bachelor's degree from Jiangxi Normal University. So I became an English teacher, being good at teaching English to children with low-level thinking instead of rote memorization. In recent years, I have devoted myself to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and accumulated more than 5 years of experience, helping many students achieve their learning goals! I love life and have a wide range of interests, and in my spare time I like reading, writing and sports as a daily necessity. Even if the weather is bad, I go out for a walk and get some fresh air! Food and travel are also my hobbies, and they add a lot of fun to my life! In my class, in addition to language learning, we can also discuss hobbies, questions, interesting facts, and even poetry and distant places!

I prefer relaxed teaching method to rigid traditional model. So, my classes involve simulation exercises by creating various scenarios. Practicability is the key to my teaching design. Also, flexibility is crucial for me to meet all learners' requirements and reach successful teaching results. My target students include teenagers and adults over the age of 15. I mainly teach HSK introductory courses and everyday spoken language, from pinyin to vocabulary, the writing and origin of Chinese characters, as well as the history and development of Chinese culture.
