About Riley
I am currently a student at the University of Melbourne. I am 19 years old and have been learning violin since I was 5. I was very lucky to have learned from the very best violin teachers in the state and I am confident in my teaching abilities, indeed I actively enjoy teaching something I am so passionate for. I can still remember the words of my violin teacher. "The best thing I can teach you is how to practice" and I approach teaching with this fundamental principle in mind.

As someone who has studied Violin for over a decade, I have learned through various programs and can teach for whichever the student would prefer. A Suzuki student myself, I can teach Suzuki violin, the most universal violin program in which students progress through music books (book 1, book 2, book 3 etc). Each consecutive book is more challenging than the last. A tried and tested methodology. I can also teach AMEB accreditation grades as I myself have progressed up to the second highest, non-diploma AMEB grade. AMEB is the official Australian Musical Examinations Board and these grades are often important for joining orchestras or ensembles. Finally, I can just casually teach whatever you want to learn. As well as a student of classical music, I am a passionate Celtic fiddle player and would be more than happy to share my culture.
