About MARISSA
My name is Marissa Ericson, and I received my Ph.D from USC in 2011 in Clinical Neuroscience with a focus on adolescent development and learning/memory systems. I have been a standardized test expert, tutor, and college application/essay mentor for over 20 years, having written test questions and worked in admissions. I am the co-founder of Transcend Educational Group ((concealed information)
I earned my BA at Cornell University and am now a Cornell Ambassador and interviewer. I have worked for more than a decade developing and refining our SAT curriculum and course materials and have personally worked with thousands of students and families over the last twenty years. I strive to incorporate relevant and current research on how the adolescent brain processes information into our curriculum and teaching methodology.
