About Gysbert

I have always wanted to share my knowledge as I believe that teaching your subject is the final and vital step to mastery. Having returned to South Africa in 2016 I have been busy running a home renovations company and I just didn't have the time and maybe the wisdom of age to start transmitting this subject that I so adore. I look forward to growing and learning with each of my students.

About the lesson

I have been in the woodworking industry for more than 20years.I spent 12 years in France working on prestigious projects like the Eifel Tower , The Louvre Museum and Versailles. I also spent 4 years creating and installing ergonomically designed control room consoles all over the world.
Having started with only a basic Matric woodworking qualification I had everything to learn as far as the practical ,cost and time effective way of creating a object.Not to mention the huge array of specialized tools available.
I will thus depending on the level and the interest of the student tutor specific subjects as well as having a more generalised curriculum for those who just want a basic understanding of the trade.
I am Fluent in English , Afrikaans and French
