About Chris
I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a strong background in English and reading instruction, committed to helping students build both academic skills and personal confidence. My approach is professional, supportive, and results-focused, ensuring that every student feels valued, capable, and prepared to succeed.
I bring a structured, intentional teaching style to each session, grounded in proven instructional strategies and clear learning goals. Whether a student is strengthening foundational reading skills, improving comprehension, developing writing ability, or preparing for academic assessments, I provide individualized support that meets their specific needs.
Students and families can expect:
Clear explanations and well-planned lessons
A patient, respectful, and encouraging learning environment
High standards paired with practical guidance
Consistent feedback and measurable progress
I take pride in maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions. Sessions are organized, focused, and purposeful, with an emphasis on helping students become more confident, independent learners.
My goal is not only to help students succeed in English and reading today, but to equip them with the skills and confidence they need for long-term academic success.

eaching Method and Techniques
My approach to English and reading instruction is student-centered, skills-based, and confidence-building. I focus on helping students become strong, independent readers and writers by teaching them how to understand, analyze, and communicate ideas clearly.
Key techniques I use include:
Explicit instruction in reading strategies (comprehension, inference, vocabulary, and fluency)
Close reading of texts to build deeper understanding
Modeling and think-alouds to show how skilled readers and writers process information
Guided discussion and questioning to develop critical thinking
Scaffolded writing support, from brainstorming to revision
Targeted feedback that is specific, constructive, and encouraging
