About Grant
I am a writing tutor with over 4 years of experience helping students improve their skills and performance. Across my time at my college's writing center, I have worked with over 250 students and received positive comments and reviews that have led to long-lasting, trusting relationships with students. I have strong academic writing experience, receiving top marks on high school AP exams as well as in my college-level writing courses. Additionally, I have received direct faculty referrals to tutor students in their classes. My tutoring style is conversational, supportive, and clear. I break down complex topics into manageable steps while prioritizing student engagement and understanding, ensuring students leave each session more confident and better equipped to succeed independently.

I have worked at my university's writing center for the past four years and have helped hundreds of students improve both their writing skills and their grades. I also tutor high school students, helping numerous writers refine everything from in-class essays to college application prompts. Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of each student rather than using generic templates or giving vague feedback. Whether it's building an essay from the ground up or refining existing work, I will help you understand what works and how to improve and grow.
