About AJ

Hi! I’m a friendly and approachable Year 9 student at The Southport School (TSS), where I am currently studying Year 10 Math as part of an accelerated program.

I have always enjoyed Math and have consistently studied above my year level. I also achieved a 98th percentile result in PAT Math.

Outside of academics, I am an active student at TSS. I play A Team cricket and am involved in Speech and Variety, which has helped me develop confidence, communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make my lessons clear, relaxed and enjoyable. I am patient and happy to explain concepts in different ways until the student feels confident and understands the work.

I offer tutoring for students in Year 9 and below, whether they need help with homework, revision, test preparation, challenging topics or simply want to get ahead.

Lessons are available online or in person for just $20 per hour.

About the lesson

I’m a Year 9 accelerated student currently studying Year 10 Maths, with a 98th percentile result in PAT Maths. As I’m still a student myself, I understand the challenges that come with learning new concepts and preparing for tests.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient and focused on understanding rather than memorising. I start by finding out what the student already knows and where they need help. I then explain concepts step-by-step using simple examples, followed by practice questions. I encourage students to work through problems themselves while providing guidance when needed, helping them build both skills and confidence.

Lessons are typically 1 hour long and can focus on homework, revision, test preparation, difficult topics or getting ahead of schoolwork.

My tutoring is available for students in Year 9 and below, whether they need help catching up, strengthening their understanding, preparing for a test, or getting ahead of their class.

I’ve always been an accelerated student and am currently completing Year 10 Maths in Year 9. I achieved a 98th percentile result in PAT Maths. Lessons are available online or in person for just $20 per hour.
