About Anna-Rae
I believe that every student has the capacity to achieve excellence, and in tutoring, I aim to give them the skills and motivation to reach greatness, academically. I have a love for learning, and nurturing that love of learning in others. As a tutor, I will work with both parents and students to get to know each student, so I can help them achieve the best results possible, and act as a driving force to help them reach new heights.
When tutoring, I tailor my style to each student's style of communication and learning for the best results. I have a deep love of learning and teaching, and I try to impart that same love of learning into my students.
I believe understanding is the first and last step in learning, and I teach with the intent of helping my students fully understand what they're learning, as only then can they achieve excellence.

Students learning from me will learn to evaluate philosophical texts, argue points and hold positions effectively, and dissect and evaluate passages. I aim to impart of my knowledge of critical reasoning and classical philosophy on my students, and help them form positions and construct arguments of their own.
A typical lesson ranges from half an hour to an hour and a half, but times are flexible based on the students' needs.
I've held many roles which involved teaching, one of which was a unit leader of Bayswater Sea Scouts. I was able to pass on skills to younger members, and mentor them as they learned. I have also taken on the role of Advocacy Captain within my school four years in a row, and directed a production within the drama program, a process which involved training and teaching new skills to younger students.

Anna-Rae helped me achieve a desirable score on my ATAR mathematics applications exam over several sessions of helpful advice and practice. We came in contact over this site and set up a successful meeting place for subsequent sessions. She has a large supply helpful resources to further my understanding. Would recommend!
