About Tiare

As a dedicated senior ATAR student with strong results in General English, I am passionate about helping younger students build both their skills and confidence in English. My experience supporting friends, younger siblings, and peers with exam preparation, assignments, and study techniques has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.

I find myself being patient, reliable, and encouraging, creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of learning. I also hold a Certificate II in Workplace Skills and Vocational Pathways, as well as two Beacon certifications, which reflect my strong communication, organization, and professionalism. As a devoted Christian, I value kindness, integrity, and encouragement, which shape the respectful and supportive way I work with every student.

The reason as to why I am studying ATAR is due to the fact that I plan on attending the University of Queensland next year. I am personally building up to acquiring a bachelor's degree in psychological sciences, with further education to promise my future as a neuropsychologist.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered on creating a supportive, encouraging, and personalised learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their English skills. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to suit their individual needs, goals, and learning style.

My teaching methodology focuses on breaking complex concepts into simple, manageable steps so students can clearly understand what they are learning before moving on. In English, this includes reading comprehension strategies, grammar, vocabulary, paragraph and essay structure, creative writing support, assignment guidance, and study skills. I also place a strong focus on exam preparation, assignment feedback, and study planning, helping students improve both their results and confidence.

Lessons are typically around 60 minutes, though I prefer to remain flexible depending on the student’s age, attention span, and the level of support they need. For younger students, lessons may include more guided examples and interactive learning activities, while Year 7 students may focus more on writing structure, comprehension, and assessment preparation.

My lessons are designed for primary school students through to Year 7, especially students who want to strengthen their reading, writing, comprehension, and confidence in English.

My tutoring experience includes helping friends prepare for exams, explaining assignments, supporting younger siblings with study and assessment tasks, and participating in peer tutoring at school. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain difficult ideas clearly and adapt my teaching style to suit different learners.

As a senior ATAR student with strong results in General English, I bring current curriculum knowledge and a genuine passion for helping younger students succeed.
